The Democratic National Convention begins Monday in Chicago with about 50,000 expected to arrive in Windy City. That includes thousands of anti-war activists planning to protest near the unity center, where Vice President Kamala Harris will officially accept the presidential nomination.

Earlier this month, delegates nominated Harris in a virtual roll call. The party will still conduct a ceremonial roll call vote at the convention, mimicking the traditional roll call method by which state delegates announce their votes at the convention hall.
